Was he just a pawn in a game to control Angel or was he actually doing good for the good guys? I kind of assume Joss didn't intend for anyone but mere mortals to be the good guys in his universe. However, Doyle's ghost has just popped into a story I'm writing his purpose is to convince a character to change history. So does he have the best intentions? Do the people who sent him have a positive agenda? I don't mind my characters being unsure about this but I want to know one way or the other myself.
