William?

Fanfiction has made me strange. I read this while on the ucp website looking for something on the new meds I'm taking. Right away I wove William Little into Spike's back-story an uncle or his father maybe.
History

In the 1860s, an English surgeon named William Little wrote the first medical descriptions of a puzzling disorder that affected children in the first years of life, causing stiff, spastic muscles in their legs and to a lesser degree, their arms. These children had difficulty grasping objects, crawling, and walking. They did not get better as they grew up nor did they become worse. Their condition, which was called Little's disease for many years, is now known as spastic diplegia. It is one of several disorders that affect control of movement due to developmental brain injury and are grouped together under the term cerebral palsy.

Little would be a name that Spike would really want to ditch don't you think?
A friend joked that she was in NY in the 70s and thought she remember seeing Spike and Dru. I said I spent a lot of time there then too. I was going twice a week to P.T. when I was 3. My mind coupled that with my last entry about William Little and I had an urge to write this - it's kind of sick.

"Oh look Spike that one has your name"

The pair Drusilla pick out were as different as night and day. The Mother was only an inch shorter than Spike with long jet black hair generous figure. The tot in the stroller reminded Spike of that Buffy kid on the T.V. show. She was almost as blonde as he was and if she lived to grow up would never have her mother's long legs. Even on the crowded subway platform Spike could hear the muffled clang of the leg braces hitting the stroller. "Not another one Dru they don't eat well and taste right funny."

"This one looks plump and pretty. Mummy likes to dress her up all in pink. I could be her new Mum and she could play with Miss Edith and I. Her legs are all locked up don't you want to set them free? Little girl has your name already we could be a family."

"You're more than enough family for me pet. I don't feature looking after a eternal two year old. 'sides They call it some really long name now, saw a telethon awful music. Now don't give me that look we're here for the Slayer a playmate slow us up"
