Life sucks
Sep. 3rd, 2009 06:40 pmThe doctors in the next town over told my dad he needed dialysis. They claimed that the safest entry point was the arm. That there's a high risk of infection in the stomach. So he must go into town 3 X a week for a three hour treatment and in the half hour travel time and likely wait and that would mean the whole dad gone. My uncle had his in the stomach and did his at home. My dad went to Whoville today and got a second opinion. Whoville said the risk at home would be very low just come there once a month for test.
My dad wants to go with the Whoville option because he'd rather be at home. I'm worried what's easiest isn't best and if he needs help I might not be able to manage it. I guess no matter what this is the rest of his life and he'd rather do it himself instead of sitting in a hospital it's up to him.
Less important but still sucky, my clothes dryer died.
