Most of the classic on this list I read as a kid because we had the books in our attic along with Shakespare, Mark Twain, Zane Grey, Edgar Rice-Bourghs and piles of others I can't recall. My grandmother loved to read just about anything she could get her hands on. I seemed to have inherited that without ever meeting her.
