shaddyr and looked through my grandmother's oldest cookbooks. It's been years since I've looked through them but remembered there was a reciept for scones. She was born in Denmark and moved to America as a child. There are lots of Danish/ German reicepts {some aren't in English.} but there are also handwritten ones for scones, bath buns and "simple" Christmas pudding. One of her friends or neighbors must have been British.
Now I'm thinking it might be a good idea to scan some of these into my computer. It would be worth it to me to save and try some stuff out. The cookies alone would make it worth the work. My waistline would hate me but who cares.
