I was very young when I visited my brother in Biloxi. Probably younger than 10 We went to NOLA did the hoaky touristy stuff and ate benes at the Cafe DuMonde [forgive the spelling.] I remember how hot and thick it felt to the little girl I was who lived in NJ and vacationed even farther north. I remember hearing the voices and thinking I was in another country. There was a busker who played an RB vrs of Bridge Over Troubled Waters. [I said it was a long time ago.] and a shop filled with collectors dolls that my mother probably was very grateful was closed. Mostly I recall the impression that there was music everywhere a different kind in every doorway. I think my mother bruised her hand holding on to me. Mom was sure I was the child most likely to run off with a drummer. Anyway like I said I only saw the tourist NOLA and only a long ago glimpse of that but if the memory can still have a taste a back beat it must be an amazing place.
I can't think of if in the past tense yet.
