If you see this, post in your LJ one or two celebrity encounters you've had that have really stood out for you. Even if they aren't from what you'd consider your current biggest fandom and even if you didn't exactly get to say hi, tell us something that once happened to you where a famous person is concerned.

redeem147I've met a lot of famous people. These aren't the most famous I picked the two longest encounters. And BtW in both cases the celeb. could've politely left at any time. ;)
I got the chance to sit for an hour with Stephen First at a con. No one recognized him from B5 because he had lost so much wieght. I was looking for a place to sit. He talked about directing and how it shapes the story. You could tell he was really into the subject. His interest made it more interesting.
Ken Burns [PBS flim maker"the Civil War" "Baseball" ect.]came into the shop once and stupid me didn't know who it was. I had just got back from a Con and was wearing the t-shirt. He asked me about it and a two hour [or more] conversation on fandom ensued.{shut up I DID so let the man talk}
