XO, Comp Ops and two other crewmembers have gotten back from their rescue mission to Houston. Two crewmates and their cat there lost their home and needed to relocate. It was a 22 hr drive and they did it strait through. The landlord who took their deposit backed out claiming that now they need a 3 co-signer. So for now they are saying with one of the guys that drove them here. To top it all off they had to leave all their furniture behind and everyone is now snowed in but at least they all got back here safe.
The kids here are all sick. Katie has pnemonia and Melanie Dawn and Kaylynn have tummy bugs maybe flu so both my brother and sister have their hands full.
In fic news My Giles story for the ficathon is done. I really like it now. I let it sit for a day and looked at it again. It took three lines and a new title to make it feel like a whole story and not just two scenes with a little in common. In other relate news I didn't put in any smut. I decide it worked better without this didn't surprise me. Now I just need to keep my paws off the thing till the 31st.
Open on Sunday had a real juicy challenge this week but I've just had too much going on. I need to do the MSRs for this month and I'd like to make a real contribution to this months newsletter for the ship instead of the usual brief hello.
