I just found out my good friend the coin guy has cancer he's a fellow SF geek and has been a friend for years. This comes on the heels of finding out the same thing about Tara Dog's vet. Also the guy that runs my favorite used bookstore had a heart attack a few weeks ago. At least he doesn't intend to close up shop and I can look forward to seeing him in a few weeks.
