Why candy and open windows are un-mixy

Little nieces M & K were in the back seat of Sis' van fighting over the fact that M wanted the window open. It was a very nice day so this was puzzling to us all. When asked K claimed she didn't was the window open because she was eating a lollypop. K who's 11, BtW said this as if we should all know that lollypops and open windows were incompatible. When asked to explain she informed us that a bee might be attracted to the candy and fly in the window. She's not allergic but phobic about the critters. My sister made her get rid of the candy. Candy on a stick in a car being far more likely to do her harm than a passing bee.
