When I got her from the pound seven years ago she was already at least three. Her foster mom had given her the name Lily because something so homely needed a pretty name.Welsh Corgi, German Shepherd , only God knows what else. We were meant for each other. She was such a sweet dog. When my youngest niece was born she considered that baby her puppy. She would hear her cry before anyony else and let us know. When Lily couldn't get up to get her biscut from Melanie I knew she wouldn't be getting better. The vet said that at her age and with the rapid growth of the tumor a week or two wouldn't have made any difference. She was fine at her last check up. I had noticed she wasn't walking so well a couple months ago. Then I found the lump three weeks ago and made an appointment. She was the kind of dog that could talk to you with her eyes very sweet and expressive. She had one ear that would go up when you said her name. She also shed enough for six dogs but I'll still miss her so much.
