Prompt: 1 Father

doctor_donna but my muse is all over the place. I'm going to try for all 50.
I’m pretty sure I’ve said that Giles’ parents are both dead in T & P so this is an AU of my AU I guess.
Dawn had some silly ideas about Giles’ father before they’d met. Based on only a few things she’d overheard Giles tell Buffy she believed the worst. She thought he be a Quentin Travers clone who’d hate her on sight and possibly even want to slay her because she was the Key.
It turned out he was more like Santa from Miracle on 34th Street. Very charmed by her and charming and full of cool stories. Dad and Anya muttered stuff about him angling for a room with a view in heaven. Dawn was just really grateful for the credit card.

When Donna wanted to loose herself in a fantasy she read a good romance. Granddad was the science fiction fan in family. She couldn’t understand why her dreams would follow his favorite theme.
She dreamed of things that weren’t what they seemed.
Wardrobes would open to Narnia type worlds
Crawling under her bed led to the molten core of the center of the earth.
A god-man blew a handful of dust into the air and showed her the birth of the universe.
In one she'd spilt into twins and journeyed within herself. She'd marveled at being bigger on the inside.
