I went my whole life without thinking of them as an oppressed minority metaphor. {or thinking much about them at all.} Now I have Goblin Quest by Jim C Hines and Snuff by Terry Pratchett on my kindle. I didn't plan it that way. I saw Hines' website link on SBTB and thought I'd give his books a try. Goblin Quest was cheapest. As for Snuff Discworld is an autobuy for me. Odd how I end up reading what I do.
Both were funny in different ways and I liked them a lot.
But with every new Discworld I keep worrying that Pratchett is going to go Agatha Christie and pull a Hercule P. on poor Sam Vimes.
